The history of bhadrajun dates back to the legendary times of the famous Indian
epic Mahabharat. Legend has it that when arjun eloped with subhadra, the sister
of lord Krishna, the couple came and married at a temple here where subhadra is
worshipped even today. The place takes its name from the fusion of the
names`subhadra' & `arjun' & later evolved to `bhadrajun'. Bhadrajun has a few
historical forts & cenotaphs in the vicinity & the fort of jalore is 50 kms.
